Dr. Mohammed Santuraki is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Agriculture Ltd (BOA). Prior to this position, he was Managing Director/CEO of FBN Mortgages limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. He is a seasoned banker with about 30 years of diversified experience in Nigeria’s financial services sector ranging from agricultural development finance through investment/commercial banking to mortgage banking.Santuraki has a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA (Accounting & Finance) from University of Ibadan, where he finished at the top of his class. He attended various Professional and Executive development programs, including DC Gardner & Co.’s Senior Corporate Lending Course, Kellogg Executive Programs’ Corporate Finance Course (Northwestern University), Manchester business School’s senior Bankers’ Course, and leadership programs at IMD Lausanne, Switzerland, Stanford Graduate School of Business and Wharton school of University of Pennsylvania, United States. He is also an alumnus of IESE Business School, Barcelona, and Lagos business school, where he was on Chief Executive Programme-17 (CEP-17).Dr. Santuraki is the current Chairman of the Association of Nigeria Development Finance Institution (ANDFI). He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), Institute of Directors, Nigeria (IoD) and a former National Vice President of Mortgage Banker’s Association of Nigeria (MBAN). He is also the Vice President of Niger State Scout Council.
Ahmadu, a consummate Agribusiness Management professional was born on 8th November 1960 in Gulak town, Adamawa State. He did his secondary education at Claverham College, Battle and later Agriculture College (Rycotewood College, Thame). Thereafter, he graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He worked with an International Agricultural Management Consultant (MASDAR International Consultants (UK) Ltd.) to establish several high profile agribusiness enterprises around Nigeria, before establishing his consultancy firm (Wakara Nigeria Ltd).He worked with the former Petroleum Trust Fund in charge of Food Sector Projects, after which he returned to the UK to obtain a Masters Degree in Agribusiness Management from the Imperial College of the University of London.Between 2004 and 2006, Ahmadu worked as Special Assistant to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and deployed to the FCT Administration as first, Mandate Secretary for Agriculture to found the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat and later as Mandate Secretary for the Health and Human Services Secretariat.Ahmadu later worked in the office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the President as Team Leader for the Food Security Desk and in a supportive role in shaping policy and tracking implementation of other aspects of the Yar’Adua Administration’s 7-Point Agenda.Ahmadu also participated actively in the preparation and packaging of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources Commercial Agriculture Development Programme. He assumed his current role as Executive Director, Business Development at Nigeria’s premier Agriculture Bank, the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) Limited in December 2010.Ahmadu, is a member of the internationally renowned agriculture sector professionals Agricola Club.
Hon Sam Elibe is the Executive Director Corporate Services; he obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture Degree from University of Nigeria, Nsukka finishing as the best graduating student of his class in 1980. In 1982, he was employed by Federal Ministry of Agriculture (FMA) under Livestock Department. In 1990, he proceeded to James Cook University, Townsville, Australia for his Masters Degree in Tropical Agriculture. On completion in 1991, he returned to FMA to continue as State Officer in Enugu and Akwa Ibom States respectively saddled with implementation of Second Livestock Development Project and Unified Agricultural Extension Service. He was appointed Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture & Natural Resources (1997 – 1998) and Finance and Economic Development (1998 – 1999). After his political stint, he returned to FMA as Zonal Supervisor, South East Zone, the position he held until his appointment to his current position as Executive Director Corporate Services, Bank of Agriculture Limited in December 2009.
